Chicken Parmesan

Ingredients

6 boneless chicken breasts
1 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce, low sodium
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
12 ounces box whole-grain pasta, cooked according to directions

Preparation 

  1. **OVEN VERSION**

  2. Wash hands with soap and water.

  3. Grease a 9" x 13" glass baking dish. Lay chicken in pan and pour spaghetti sauce over top. Turn chicken to coat in sauce.

  4. Bake in a 350 degrees F oven for 25-35 minutes or until internal temperature of chicken reaches 165 degrees F on food thermometer.

  5. Sprinkle with cheese and continue to cook 5 minutes or until cheese melts.

  6. Serve over pasta.

  7. **STOVETOP VERSION**

  8. Wash hands with soap and water.

  9. Brown chicken in large skillet on both sides.

  10. Pour spaghetti sauce over chicken.

  11. Simmer 10-15 minutes or until internal temperature of chicken reaches 165 degrees F on food thermometer.

  12. Sprinkle with grated cheese and continue cooking until cheese melts.

  13. Serve over pasta.
