Safety Tips

Be safe when you and your family are active!

  1. Wear appropriate shoes and clothes for the activity and the weather. For example, wear sneakers or running shoes to run or walk.
  2. Choose a safe location to be active. This may be your home, a community center, a shopping mall, or a park.
  3. Wear sunscreen if you are active outside and have exposed skin.
  4. Start slowly with new activities.
  5. Drink water when physically active!

Keep in mind, if you have a health problem, or have not been active in awhile, we recommend that you visit your health care provider to make sure it is safe for you to be more physically active.
