Homemade Guacamole

Ingredients

3 ripe avocados
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon lime juice
2 Roma tomatoes, diced
1/2 cup red onion, chopped
1/2 jalapeno pepper, chopped (note: include seeds if you want extra spice/heat)*
1/4 cup cilantro, chopped, or 2 tsp. dried cilantro
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation 

  1. Wash hands with soap and water.

  2. Gently rub produce under cool running water.

  3. Cut avocados in half, remove pit, and scoop pulp into a medium bowl.

  4. Mash avocado pulp with a fork and mix in remaining ingredients.

  5. Stir to combine. Serve with raw vegetable sticks or baked tortilla chips.

Note: 

* If desire less spice/heat, remove jalapeno from recipe.

* You can also use a food processor to mash avocado and mix ingredients together.
